On Friday, 17 June 2022, in the morning at 10:58, in Ukmergės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 57.44), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and an Audi A4 Avant. One person died — a 77-year-old passenger of the Audi 80 (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 79-year-old driver of the Audi 80 (44 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
