On Tuesday, 21 June 2022, in the evening at 17:51, in Vilnius, on Dariaus ir Girėno street near No. 2, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Rover 25, a Nissan X-Trail, a Volkswagen Golf, a Mercedes-Benz C 220 CDI and a Honda. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Rover, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.60‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
