On Monday, 11 July 2022, in the evening at around 17:00, in Vilnius, on J. Basanavičiaus street near No. 37, a Honda Jazz hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 22-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Honda (25 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
