On Thursday, 11 August 2022, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Radviliškio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 40.58), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Skoda Fabia and a BMW 5er Gran Turismo Reihe. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 85-year-old driver of the Skoda (47 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
