On Friday, 12 August 2022, in the evening at 19:30, in Jonavos district municipality, Ragožių village, on Tuopų street, at the junction with Kėdainių pl., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ford Transit, a Renault Laguna and a Volkswagen Touran. One person died — a 53-year-old passenger of the Renault. Two people were injured — the 33-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (hospitalized) and the 52-year-old driver of the Renault (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Ford (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
