On Thursday, 8 September 2022, in the evening at 17:30, in Rokiškio district municipality, on the Daugpilis–Rokiškis–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 23.87), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Chrysler Voyager and a Toyota Avensis. Two people were injured — the 33-year-old driver of the Chrysler (treated as an outpatient) and the 56-year-old driver of the Toyota (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Chrysler (14 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
