On Sunday, 25 September 2022, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 100.92), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a MAN TGX, a Schmitz SKO 24 and a Peugeot 407. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the MAN (15 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
