On Friday, 23 September 2022, in the morning at around 9:00, in Kaunas, on Prietilčio street, at the junction with Karaliaus Mindaugo pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and an Opel Vectra Station Wagon. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
