On Friday, 14 October 2022, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Utenos district municipality, on Vaižganto street near No. 8, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW and an Opel Astra-G-Caravan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.56‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
