On Thursday, 1 December 2022, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on Šv. Gertrūdos street near No. 21, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
