On Wednesday, 8 March 2023, in the afternoon at 14:41, in Jonavos district municipality, on Lietavos street near No. 15, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320I and a Mercedes-Benz C 220 CDI. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (0.85‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident there was a blizzard, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
