On Monday, 3 April 2023, in the evening at around 17:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 304), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Opel (8 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
