On Sunday, 9 April 2023, in the morning at 8:01, in Vilnius, on Taurupės street, at the junction with Rojaus street, a BMW 525 D ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
