On Thursday, 15 June 2023, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on Karaliaus Mindaugo pr. near No. 17, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz and an Opel. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
