On Wednesday, 26 July 2023, in the afternoon at 15:39, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Lyda main road (kilometre 49), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the DAF (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
