On Monday, 7 August 2023, in the afternoon at 14:09, in Radviliškio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 30.56), a collision occurred. The collision involved a Scania R420, a Volkswagen Passat, an Ecovrac S3, a HFR SB240, a Volkswagen Passat and a Volvo FM. One person died — the 32-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Passat (had no driving licence). Two people were injured — the 60-year-old driver of the Scania (hospitalized) and the 54-year-old driver of the Volvo (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Scania (29 years of driving experience), who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs. All drivers were sober.
