On Sunday, 13 August 2023, in the evening at around 20:00, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 160.30), a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a Fiat Ducato and a BMW 5ER Reihe. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Fiat (30 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
