On Saturday, 19 August 2023, in the morning at 6:15, in Anykščių district municipality, Desiukiškių village, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 100.20), a BMW 520 registered in Germany rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the BMW (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
