On Thursday, 24 August 2023, in the evening at 21:30, in Kaunas, on Rambyno street near No. 17, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Prius and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Toyota (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
