On Monday, 4 September 2023, in the evening at 22:04, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Pavenčių street, at the junction with Pavasario street, a BMW ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
