On Monday, 31 July 2023, in the afternoon at 14:27, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 91.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a MB, a Schmitz and an Iveco 35C13. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the MB (10 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
