On Wednesday, 6 December 2023, in the evening at 22:18, in Vilniaus city municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 15.90), a BMW X3 3.0D ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
