On Thursday, 4 January 2024, in the evening at 17:23, in Vilnius, on J. Tumo-Vaižganto street, at the junction with J. Savickio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Solaris Urbino 12 and a Toyota Auris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Solaris (25 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
