On Monday, 8 January 2024, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Prienai–Skriaudžiai national road (kilometre 15.40), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (12 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
