On Monday, 15 January 2024, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Vilnius, on Švitrigailos street near No. 11B, a Dacia hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Dacia (25 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
