On Wednesday, 21 February 2024, in the afternoon at 16:55, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Kovo 11-osios street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 Avant and a Toyota. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
