On Saturday, 20 April 2024, in the morning at 9:25, in Kaunas, on Kovo 11-osios street, at the junction with Taikos pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Toyota. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
