On Saturday, 13 April 2024, at night at around 1:00, in Utenos district municipality, on the Utena–Kaltanėnai–Švenčionys national road (kilometre 10.35), a Ford Focus C-MAX hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Ford (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
