On Friday, 10 May 2024, in the evening at 21:40, in Kauno city municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 2), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Scania (39 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
