On Tuesday, 2 July 2024, in the morning at 8:07, in Trakų district municipality, on Trakų street near No. 17, a Volvo V50 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Volvo (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.02‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
