On Thursday, 11 July 2024, in the afternoon at 12:05, in Jonavos district municipality, Ruklos town, on Laumės street, at the junction with Paupio street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW 325 and a Toyota RAV4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
