On Friday, 19 July 2024, in the morning at 5:48, in Plungės district municipality, Babrungo village, on Šiaulių Plento street near No. 5, a Volvo hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.16‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
