On Wednesday, 7 August 2024, in the afternoon at 16:50, in Kaunas, on Kiečių street, at the junction with Mauručių street, a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Yamaha and a BMW. Two people were injured — the 16-year-old driver of the Yamaha (treated as an outpatient) and a 15-year-old passenger of the Yamaha (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Yamaha, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
