On Sunday, 6 October 2024, in the evening at 18:30, in Pagėgių municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 154), a collision with barriers occurred. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Land Rover (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene.
