On Saturday, 12 October 2024, in the evening at 20:57, in Vilnius, on Vilniaus street, at the junction with Žygimantų street, a collision occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Outlander and a Solaris Trollino 15AC. Four people were injured — the 66-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient), a 62-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient), a 16-year-old passenger of the Solaris Trollino (treated as an outpatient) and a 66-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 66-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (30 years of driving experience), who failed to obey traffic-control signals. Both drivers were sober.
