On Tuesday, 22 October 2024, in the evening at 18:54, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr. near No. 47A, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and an Audi. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of a vehicle, who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
