On Sunday, 27 October 2024, at night at 2:50, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 27.96), a 021 11254 ran off the road. Two people were injured — the 31-year-old driver of the 021 (hospitalized) and a 40-year-old passenger of the 021 (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the 021, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.59‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
