On Saturday, 9 November 2024, in the evening at around 19:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Aukštkiemių village, on Pagairės street, a Mercedes-Benz hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 61-year-old pedestrian. The accident was caused by a 61-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the carriageway outside a crossing where there are vehicle or pedestrian barriers.
