On Saturday, 28 December 2024, at night at 3:50, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 52.30), a Subaru Impreza ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
