On Saturday, 4 October 2025, in the evening at 22:30, in Vilnius, on Žirmūnų street, at the junction with Verkių street, a BMW hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
