On Saturday, 26 January 2013, in the evening at 22:45, in Anykščių district municipality, Viešintų town, on Vytauto street, at the junction with Mechanizatorių street, a Honda Civic ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Honda (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.90‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
