On Sunday, 15 December 2013, in the evening at 17:35, in Kupiškio district municipality, on the Daugpilis–Rokiškis–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 50.70), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Peugeot Boxer. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Audi (12 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.63‰ blood alcohol).
