On Saturday, 21 December 2013, in the afternoon at 12:30, in Tauragės district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 151), an Audi A6 Avant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Audi (21 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
