On Tuesday, 7 January 2014, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr., at the junction with J. Basanavičiaus al., a Mazda 323 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 21-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Mazda (7 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
