On Wednesday, 5 February 2014, in the evening at 21:55, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Pavenčių street near No. 9, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra, a BMW 520 and an Opel Tigra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Opel Astra, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.85‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene.
