On Wednesday, 26 February 2014, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 20.50), a collision occurred. The collision involved a Hyosung and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Hyosung (2 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was wet.
