On Monday, 24 March 2014, in the morning at 6:11, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 18.90), an Opel Astra rolled over. One person was injured — a 16-year-old passenger of the Opel (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
