On Tuesday, 1 April 2014, in the afternoon at 13:40, in Kaunas, on K. Baršausko street near No. 57, at a gas station, a Volkswagen Golf hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 28-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (13 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to fulfil pedestrian duties.
