On Tuesday, 8 April 2014, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kaunas, on Aukštaičių street, at the junction with K. Petrausko street, a BMW 520 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 8-year-old pedestrian, who committed sudden emergence from behind a vehicle, tree, etc.. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
