On Friday, 9 May 2014, in the morning at around 5:00, in Šilalės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 208.36), a Skoda Yeti hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Skoda (14 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
